Tangible tool kits are a method to communicate between people with different background, knowledge, culture etc. It helps simplify and it gives overview. This is a method used in User Centered Design to gain insight and to communicate on the same level. It is easier to talk about something physical and tangible then it is to talk about a thought.

It is not so much the models that lead to innovation and good design, but the dialogue behind it. Therefore, sessions like these are often voice or video recorded.

Below is two examples with two different companies. The left picture is a company business model session with Oticon (The largest hearing aid provider in Denmark) together with a development engineer and a marketing manager. The right one is an example with Yahoo's relations to competitors, customers and government. Presented for Klaus Kaasgaard VP, Customer Insights at Yahoo!.
